For the Materials Development division – Research & Development, laser welding, laser cladding, additive manufacturing and 3D generation – we are looking for an Employee at the Laser Competence Centre (m/f/d), full-time (possibly in two-shift operation) at the Leopoldshöhe site.

Your responsibilities
Hardfacing with laser wire and laser powder on a robot-guided or CNC laser cell
Hardfacing with TIG hot and cold wire on a CNC or robot-guided system
Welding and parameter development for MMA, MIG, MAG, PTA and laser
Reverse engineering, transferring components back into the CAD/CAM system
Carrying out feasibility studies
Testing innovations in materials and systems technology
Testing new materials, welding and technology parameters
Manufacturing customer parts and demonstrations
Commissioning and support of welding cells
Documentation of results
Your experience
Completed technical college training in mechanical engineering or as an industrial mechanic (required)
Comparable additional qualification such as welding master or welding technician (desirable)
Good knowledge of KUKA robot programming/handling and path planning as well as basic CAD/CAM knowledge (required)
Professional experience in additive manufacturing and/or laser hardfacing (an advantage)
High awareness of quality and responsibility, social skills and teamwork (required)
Good spoken and written English (an advantage)
Resilience, teamwork, cost- and goal-oriented action, an independent way of working
