The 3D scan captures the exact component geometry and forms the basis for automated path programming in the LCC. Using the specially developed capiCAM-3D software, optimised welding paths are calculated directly from the scan data. This allows even complex geometries and damaged surfaces to be processed precisely and reproducibly – without manual programming effort.
Plasma multiwire welding (capiClad MultiWire 3D) combines a controlled arc process with direction-independent central multi-wire feeding. Deposition rates of up to 12 kg/h at 100 % material utilisation make the process particularly economical. It is suitable for large-area wear protection coatings, repairs and near-net-shape build-up of highly stressed components.
As a DED-Arc process (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing, WAAM), capiClad MultiWire 3D enables economical 3D printing of metal components directly from wire materials. Components, tools and spare parts are produced from a single file – resource-efficient and with low distortion through controlled heat input. Using specially developed capiTool solid wires, hardness values of up to 70 HRC are achieved.
TIG cold wire and TIG hot wire complement the laser processes in the LCC wherever a particularly uniform weld pool and precise material dosing are required. In the hot wire process, the filler wire is preheated, which significantly increases the deposition rate while protecting the base material. Both variants can be fully automated in the capiBox and are suitable for sensitive or pre-machined components.
The capilla LCC combines state-of-the-art process technology with decades of materials expertise. The result is solutions that surpass conventional approaches in precision, service life and cost-effectiveness.
