capalloy 7166253
Powder for PTA / laser welding

Applications / Features

Gas-atomised welding powder for PTA and laser hardfacing.

The weld metal offers high corrosion resistance in a wide range of media, including resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Scale-resistant up to approx. 1100°C, high-temperature resistant up to 1000°C and tough at low temperatures down to -196°C.

Max. service temperature in sulphur-containing media: 500 °C.

Applications

For PTA powder hardfacing on unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and corresponding steel castings, cast iron and nickel-base alloys.

For joining welds on high-alloy steels and Ni-Cr alloys.

Typical application examples are:

Ship engine parts, power plant components, offshore drilling equipment, valve components for oil applications, tools for anderwater work and cryogenic equipment.
