High resistance to adhesion. Good resistance under metallic sliding friction, lubricated and unlubricated. Good emergency running properties. Resistant to impact stress. Corrosion-resistant against water (drinking, brackish and seawater), weathering influences, diluted acids (acetic and sulphuric acid) and alkalis except ammonia. Machinable. Work-hardening.
Bonding undercoat powder required.
Applications
For flame spraying without fusing of unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels and the corresponding steel casting grades.
Typical application examples are:
Plain bearings, rolling-bearing seats of carrying rollers, slide seats, pulleys, piston skirts, slideways, turbine blades, bearing shells and coupling forks.
