Applications / Features
An iron-based flux-cored wire for hardfacing on austenitic, impact-tough, work-hardening overlays and on replacement, wear and machine components exposed to high impact loads and moderate abrasion in service.
Weld metal deposited on austenitic base materials is non-magnetisable and work-hardens in service. The microstructure contains up to 50% complex fine special carbides, homogeneously distributed in different shapes and sizes and embedded in the matrix. The microstructure offers very high impact toughness. The matrix or microstructure can be adapted, fine-tuned and adjusted during the process to the bulk material or the medium to be crushed and conveyed.
Welding should be performed with minimum heat input.
Applications
Suitable for hardfacing on:
Tools and attachments used in earthworks, stone and soil applications, GETs, mining, open-pit and tunnel construction, and in the foundry, forging, steel, iron, metallurgy, glass, brick and refractory industries.
Typical components:
Worn components made of manganese hard steel, magnetic separators, roll crushers, impact bars, excavator teeth, tooth tips, excavator points, crusher jaws, cones, frogs and crossings, slides, chutes, wear protection plates and more.
