capidur G 68 HIT

Applications / Features

An iron-based flux-cored wire for tools and components exposed to extremely abrasive wear and extremely high impact loads in service.

In the very finely lamellar weld metal, up to 40% complex fine special carbides are homogeneously distributed in different sizes and embedded in the matrix. The weld metal also offers very high hardness and impact toughness, resists mineral attack and, due to its high scratch hardness, is resistant to grooving wear. The matrix or microstructure can be adapted, fine-tuned and adjusted during the process to the bulk material or the medium to be conveyed.

Already achieves extremely high impact toughness in the first layer.

Applications

Suitable for hardfacing on:

Tools and attachments used in earthworks, stone and soil applications, GETs, mining, open-pit and tunnel construction, and in the foundry, forging, steel, iron, metallurgy, glass, brick and refractory industries.
