Self-shielded (open-arc) flux-cored wire for hardfacing against extreme abrasion and/or erosion.
The weld metal consists of a ledeburitic matrix with numerous embedded chromium carbides and metal borides.
For operating temperatures up to 550°C.
Extremely high abrasion resistance, already achieved in the first layer, under medium impact loading.
The filler can also be processed well under shielding gas (EN ISO 14175: M12, M21).
Applications
Suitable for base materials such as:
Unalloyed and alloyed steels (the extremely high abrasive wear from ore, gravel, Sand, coal, cement or slag exposed to).
Suitable for components such as:
conveyor screws,
Blast-furnace bells and shields
(the elevated temperatures exposed to),
Fans,
Sinter stars,
etc.
