Applications / Features

Flexible, pliable welding rod. Casing manufactured as a composite in various sizes of spherical fused tungsten carbide (WSC). The welding rod has a very high matrix and scratch hardness and is used for hard surfacing deposits on components subject to extremely fine mineral wear.

The workpiece surface should be free of scale, rust, oil and grease and free of old loose residues and contamination. A uniform preheating of 300°C–350°C through to the core should be performed. In the area of the hard surfacing deposit,ng deposit, at the start of the hardfacing deposit, the temperature at the component surface should be approximately 650°C.

The gas flame should have a slight excess of acetylene during application.

Applications

Suitable for hardfacing on:

Tools and attachments used in soil, stone, earth, mining, open-pit and tunnel construction, the foundry, forging, steel, iron, smelting, glass, brick and refractory industries.

Typical components:

Screw presses, separators, decanters, screw segments, screw tools, conveyor screws, impact bars, cutting edges, cutting heads, knives, scrapers, mandrels, ploughshare mixers, armour welding of crowns, drill crowns, deep drill bits, round shank chisels, coal ploughs, cutting machines, moulded cores, pan mixers, mixing paddles, mixing tools, mouthpieces, profile borers, excavator teeth, tooth tips, cellular wheel sluices.
