capilla® 902 GS 0,5

Applications / Features

Flexible, pliable welding rod on a spool. Coating produced as a composite of crushed tungsten carbide (WC) of various shapes and sizes. The welding rod has a medium matrix and scratch hardness. Suitable for hardfacing deposits on components exposed to extreme mineral wear in service. The workpiece surface should be free of scale, rust, oil and grease.

A uniform preheating of 300°C - 350°C through to the core should be performed. In the area of the hard surfacing deposit, ngg deposit, at the start of the hardfacing deposit, the temperature at the component surface should be approximately 650°C. The gas flame should have a slight excess of acetylene during application.

Applications

Suitable for hardfacing on:

Tools and attachments used in soil, rock and earth applications, in mining, open-pit mining and tunneling, and in the foundry, forging,ng-,ng, steel, iron, metallurgy, glass, brick and refractory industries.

Typical components:

screw presses, separators, decanters, screw segments, screw tools, conveyor screws, impact bars, cutting edges, cutting heads, knives, scrapers, mandrels, ploughshare mixers, armouring of crowns, drill crowns, deep-drilling bits, round-shank chisels, coal ploughs, cutting machines, mixing paddles, mixing tools, excavator teeth, tooth tips, rotary valves and more.
