Applications / Features
Si alloyed Al solid wire for MIG-welds on AlSi-alloys.
For age-hardenable Al alloys such as AlCuMg1, AlMgSi1 and AlZn4,5Mg1, the strength requirements of the base materials must be observed.
Preheating to 150°C – 200°C required for wall thicknesses above 15 mm.
Applications
Suitable for base materials such as:
3.1325 (AlCuMg 1),
3.2315 (AlMgSi 1),
3.4335 (AlZn 4,5 Mg 1).
Suitable for overlay and joining welds on Al-Si alloys up to 7% Si and dissimilar Al alloys with each other.
