Applications / Features
Basic-coated high-performance electrode for hardfacing and joining welds on quench-and-temper 13%Cr-steels.
For operating temperatures up to 450°C.
Like similar-grade chromium steels, the weld metal is
corrosion-resistant.
preheating of the workpiece to approx. 250°C.
A stress-relief annealing at temperatures up to 680°C is recommended if the base material does not prohibit this.
Applications
Suitable for base materials such as:
1.4008 (GX 8 Cr 13).
Suitable for sealing surface overlays on:
Gas, water and steam valves/fittings.
Often used only as a cover pass on tougher austenitic fill layers (in sulphur-containing media at elevated temperatures).
